Betty’s Garden
If you don’t operate on any particular schedule, but still want to buy fresh produce every now and then, Betty Foster operates a great market on her own and a lot of locals have been buying fresh produce from Betty and her family for years.  She usually opens a little earlier in the year and closes a little later in the year that the other farmers markets.  Her store is open weekdays.  405 W. Pennsylvania Avenue, Southern Pines, NC.  The phone number is 695-0233.
Keep in mind also that many of the leading restaurants in the area have made a major commitment to buy produce and even cheeses and meats from local farmers and producers.  They include:  Ashtens's in Southern Pines, Rhett's in Southern Pines, Elliot's in Pinehurst, Rue 32 in Southern Pines.

Pinehurst and Hydrangea's

Pinehurst knows how to grow hydrangea's.  This is what I get to see on my morning walks in the village.  What a lovely way to start my day!
